Williamsburg Wicker & Rattan Shoppe came to Digital GreenLight to design their first website and establish a strong web presence.
The website features an extensive selection of furniture products with large pictures, a friendly feel, and a "Monthly Recipe" as a special attraction. After some time on the web, Williamsburg Wicker came back to bring them more site visitors with an online advertising campaign.

Williamsburg wicker is a well trafficked website seen by between 1000 and 1500 people a month. 1 out of 3 people who visit the site each month come back to it.
- Increase store traffic.
We have positioned Williamsburg Wicker as an interesting and charming local spot, invite online guests to come in “for a visit.” Many of the the people calling the store or visiting in person have made a point to mention finding them through the website and how much they like it.
- Promote the charm and image of the store itself.
Williamsburg wicker wanted a website visit to reflect what it's like to actually visit the store. Digital GreenLight always visits our clients in person for this reason. Seeing the store firsthand was vital to creating a comparable online experience.
- Reach a specific new demographic.
Williamsburg Wicker needed to reach a younger group of internet using women age 35 and up, ideally homeowners with sunrooms.
Reaching this crowd involved considering them while designing the aesthetics of the site, and targeting them with keyword choice, directory submission, and online promotion.
Results
The website is an ongoing success. It brings in the needed business and reaches the online crowd that desires wicker furniture. In search engines the words "wicker" and "furniture" both brought in over 400 people(Oct 2006), in addition to numerous searches for specific furniture brand names.
The site is updated with current furniture lines on an ongoing basis and keeps people informed and interested in new offerings. Seasonal promotional language keeps the homepage current and fresh.
